Welcome to my blog. This space is mainly for my thoughts on skepticism but I will post whatever I fancy, especially if it amuses me.
This page would normally be dedicated to some explanation for the existence of the site, but what the hell! It’s a blog. It exists to make my opinions a little less humble :)
The truth is that I am using the site to practise and develop my writing and skepticism is my topic of choice right now. It’s hard not to have an opinion about what’s bullshit and what’s not.
For the record, the following statements could be said to be true:
- I work at the University of Sydney as a low level bureaucrat. I dont take as much pleasure in that as you might imagine.
- Cricket is the finest sport ever!
- Heinlein is my favourite author but I try to resist the urge to demand the government start flogging criminals. You’ve got to keep some sense of perspective.
- Loud, fast music is best and I play bass guitar like a guy who stopped 10 years ago and can’t remember a thing he learnt. My fingers are shredded but it’s coming back to me.
- I’m probably a libretarian. That is to say I would smoke a lot of dope if I could do it without having a drug dealer in my life. I hope it’s not a mistake to await the day when common sense will prevail.
